Camino De Santiago
It is said that you begin your Camino as soon as you decide plan it.
In May 2016, Debra and I began hiking our Camino from St. Jean Pied de Port in South-West France. Over the next two months we backpacked across Northern Spain to Santiago de Compostela. We thought of it as a trip of a lifetime. Along the hike, we stopped at Cruz de Ferro and placed our stones at the foot of the cross as other pilgrims have done for hundreds of years. It is said that this a place of much significance and you leave behind your burdens.
This trip has fueled an emotional need for me to continue traveling and hiking. I have lived in many countries, but the experience gained from backpacking through the small villages during this trip has enhanced my need to travel.
